Layers of Red
This season, I have stocked up on classic staples to build my fall wardrobe. The majority of these pieces consist of soft knits and classic blue denim. I find that the combination of the two makes for a chic, yet relaxed aesthetic. Recently, I've been loving a good burgundy fall outfit featuring a wine red cardigan and denim skinny jeans.
One of my favorite ways to layer my wardrobe staples is by layering color-coordinating pieces over each other. Today I've opted for a wine red long sleeve knit cardigan paired with a coordinating long sleeve knit sweater. The combination is a no-fail pairing. Together, the clean-cut silhouette, featuring a round neckline and long sleeves, is something you can wear everywhere depending on how you style the rest of your look.
Today, I've opted to pair my wine colored knits with DENIZEN® from Levi’s® women's Essential Stretch Modern Skinny jeans in Orbit. The stylish jean offers a flattering mid-rise waist and a super-slim cut from the hip all the way to the ankle. Accessorized with caged pointed high heels, this look is a favorite of mine for holiday shopping in the city. The Essential Stretch denim fits, flatters, and keeps its shape all day and is available in modern and curvy fits designed to make you look incredible.
This formula, coordinating sweater and cardigan combo + denim, has been a favorite of mine this fall and holiday season. While it works beautifully with neutrals, I particularly like to use it when I am craving color. It is an easy way to infuse a pop of color into my outfit without feeling like all eyes are on one specific article of clothing or accessory. Deep red is especially appealing to me during the holiday season because the color so easily adds a dramatic elegance to an otherwise simple outfit.
