Spring in Knits + Linen
Spring in Knits + Linen
On my way to a farmer's market 🥦🥑🍅 I am wearing an easy spring outfit featuring a sweater tank top and cropped cardigan two-piece set, white linen bermuda short, and Loewe leather-trimmed woven raffia tote in Seattle, Washington.
This has been my early spring uniform lately—something simple, layered, and easy to wear throughout the day as the weather shifts.
Mornings are still cool here, but by midday it warms up just enough that heavy layers feel unnecessary. A soft sweater tank paired with a cropped cardigan has been the easiest solution. It gives warmth when needed, but still feels light and effortless.
I’ve been wearing this kind of set for everyday moments—working in the garden, running errands, or slow mornings at home. It feels put together without being overdone, which is exactly what I want this time of year.
What I like most about this combination is how adaptable it is. The tank works on its own in the afternoon, and the cardigan adds just enough structure and warmth earlier in the day. The cropped length also pairs well with high-waisted denim or skirts, which keeps the overall silhouette clean and balanced.
A few simple variations I’ve been rotating:
Swap the cardigan for a lightweight blazer for a slightly more polished look
Layer with a trench or wool coat on colder mornings
Pair with denim for everyday wear, or a soft skirt for something more feminine
Add flats or simple boots depending on the weather
This is the kind of piece I come back to often—easy, comfortable, and suited to real days at home and outside as the season begins to shift.
